Best invention ever.
As the previous reviewer, Dan K., stated the instructions are inadequate in fully understanding the Iolite- the instructional booklet looks pretty thick but then you realize it's because it's providing instructions in 10+ different languages. But don't worry, it's a pretty simple device and fairly easy to figure out. We had the advantage of having a friend get one before us so they answered any questions we had. But seriously, it's really not that difficult to operate one.No matter what herb you use the Iolite for, it's a whole new level of freshness because of the vaporization process. Smoking the traditional way always kicks up my asthma and I wheeze. With the Iolite I don't. You will also get more out of your herb! We have doubled, if not trippled the time our herb lasts us by purchasing the Iolite. Surprisingly Pleasant
I had my doubts.. but the IOLite does a wonderful job.The instructions provided are horrible and give little insight how to efficiently use the device, but with trial and error you get the idea after a while. Simply fill it up with a normal butane (I use Zippo) and whatever herb you please. Once you turn it on, click the ignite button until you see a little blue dot in the indicator hole (sometimes it takes a couple clicks, but not often). Breathe in one every 45sec. This thing will continue to hit for ~10 min (depending on how much was put in); so dont turn it off early thinking its done.Definitely worth the money. Mine was the newer version that has metal threading on the mouth piece. Due to that, the entire device is structurally sound and I have no worries of anything breaking.

One of the best ways to smoke!
I love my iolite. I ordered this package with the optimizer and I think it works great. There is very little smoke and odor that is omitted from this device and it is very easy to set up and use. The odor and smell are so minimal that I was able to smoke this device at work, school, and even at a bar (sitting in a booth) without drawing any attention.
